Cloud Engineer Onsite- Direct Hire

Seeking a Cloud Solutions Engineer that will be responsible for day-to-day management and improvements to the tools used to communicate and stay productive; including but not limited to, Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and Avaya. The Cloud Solutions Engineer will have a high level view of the current status of systems and an understanding of how they connect with each other. The Cloud Solutions Engineer will also support, monitor, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and the associated systems and processes. This role will be comfortable in looking at data to develop, plan, and execute large-scale projects used to streamline and generally improve user experience through various levels of automation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop workflows, automation, processes, and/or solutions to proactively prevent problems, improve user productivity, and automate recurring tasks
  • Grow, scale, and document new SaaS applications and review them with the other business units to solve their growth challenges
  • Support a multi-cloud environment, including AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Assist in day-to-day project coordination and management of cloud resources, including
  • Troubleshooting problems and outages
  • Design and develop cloud infrastructure for future technologies
  • Secure technology resources by establishing and enforcing policies, as well as defining and monitoring access
  • Provide recommendations for physical and cloud infrastructure upgrades and improvements
  • Create new systems; analyze, test, and assess software; and/or initiate other technical changes to meet DroneUp’s requirements
  • Monitor systems’ performance and security baselines as well as create reports and identify potential problem areas
  • Respond to requests from change control, service outages, service requests, and act as a technical escalation resource to others on the team
  • Create and maintain technical documentation of related systems and implementations
  • Perform routine audits of systems and applications
  • Ensure accountability for delivering well-tested, secure technologies that support DroneUp’s vision and strategy
  • Provide analysis, troubleshooting, communication, and consulting to clients and vendors
  • Stay up-to-date with most current and emerging technologies
  • Provide hands-on assistance to ensure all projects and deliverables are completed accurately and on time, including deployment of projects and initiatives
  • Procure hardware, software, and other IT-related equipment as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager, Cloud Solutions Services

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with cloud services and 1 year hands-on administration experience
  • Certified in at least one of the following: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, or GCP Foundational
  • Experience supporting cloud-based and SaaS applications using Okta, including Slack, Atlassian products, Zoom, Google Workspace, Office 365, and Avaya
  • Experience building and maintaining systems within Azure, GCP, or AWS
  • Experience working with APIs to interconnect various applications and build workflows to provide efficient user lifecycle management
  • IaC / Scripting experience
  • Background in meeting security compliance such as HIPAA, HiTrust, ISO, and PCI
  • Understanding of current technology and compliance requirements
  • Understanding of fundamental networking concepts, practices, procedures, and protocols
  • Knowledge of best practices around engineering, data security, and identity
  • Self-starter, able to troubleshoot independently in downtime or outage situations with the ability to also work in a team environment
  • Expert level knowledge of macOS and Windows operating systems
  • Okta Professional Certification preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of various IT systems including email, identity, system monitoring, and device management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace Administration
